Business Development Manager

Job Description:

  • Build strategic relationships with key contacts within client organizations to understand opportunities for creating value

  • Develop base of warm leads and prospect for new leads to build a pipeline, including cold calling

  • Persistently convert opportunities into profitable sales in both new and existing accounts

  • Create quotes and sales proposals for company services

  • Succeed at price and service negotiation with customers

  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure customers’ needs and expectations are exceeded

  • Utilize company social media to promote business and aid in sales efforts

  • Create and lead sales presentations for dynamic client base

  • Maintain and update accurate information in CRM system

  • Maintain confidentiality of company information

  • Participate in trade shows and conventions

  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and industry trends

  • Report on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of proven sales success with an ability to prove experience and success in cold calling

  • Demonstrated knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to persuade, influence, negotiate and deliver formal presentations

  • Ability to develop strong business relationships within all levels of organizations, including C-Level executives

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office

  • Sense of urgency and ability to be self-driven

  • Strong business acumen with desire to grow into sales leader

  • Willingness to travel to various meetings or client sites
