Job Description:

• Oversee daily human resources functions, including managing policies and procedures, recruiting, employee relations, performance management, health and safety programs, and training.

• Provide performance management of staff; motivate and move staff to higher levels of performance and job skills

• Establish and track key performance indicators for each area of responsibility

• Manage the risk management work functions, including occupational and non-occupational injured worker process, and assist in maintaining health and safety programs

• Participate as a senior management team member in order to develop and discuss organizational procedures, policies, and direction setting

• Counsel and advise managers and supervisors on team member issues

• Facilitate dispute resolution and conduct investigations

• Oversee diversity programs

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or distribution facility

• Demonstrated knowledge of the full range of HR regulations and functions

• Previous experience in a manager or supervisory role

• Ability to collaborate and be an effective team player working with globally dispersed team members

• A desire to take initiative, seek and act on opportunities to improve the organization’s performance

• Ability to solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), and data management software (SAP preferred)
